Which companies sponsor visas for medical assistants in New Hampshire?
The employers most likely to sponsor visas for medical assistants in New Hampshire are large health systems with dedicated HR and immigration infrastructure. Dartmouth Health, Wentworth-Douglas Hospital, Catholic Medical Center, and Elliot Health System have active international hiring histories. Smaller independent clinics rarely sponsor because the administrative burden is significant, so targeting multi-location hospital networks and large outpatient groups gives candidates the best chance.
Which visa types are most common for medical assistant roles in New Hampshire?
Medical assistants in New Hampshire most commonly come through employer-sponsored H-1B visas, which require the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, or through the EB-3 immigrant visa pathway for skilled workers. Some candidates also enter on TN visas if they are Canadian or Mexican citizens and meet the applicable occupational criteria. The specific visa pathway depends on the employer, the applicant's credentials, and individual circumstances.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most medical assistant sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua, the two largest cities in New Hampshire, concentrate the highest volume of medical assistant openings due to the density of hospital campuses and outpatient clinics in the southern tier of the state. Lebanon, home to Dartmouth Health's flagship Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, is also a significant hub. Concord and Dover have a smaller but consistent presence of healthcare employers with hiring capacity.
How to find medical assistant visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can filter directly for medical assistant roles in New Hampshire to see employers actively open to sponsoring. Because sponsorship willingness is not always stated in generic job postings, using a platform like Migrate Mate that surfaces sponsoring employers saves considerable time compared to manually screening hundreds of listings across the state.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for medical assistants in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire does not require medical assistants to hold a state license, which simplifies credentialing for internationally trained candidates compared to states with stricter licensure mandates. However, employers still expect certifications such as the CMA from the American Association of Medical Assistants or the RMA from American Medical Technologists. Dartmouth Health's affiliation with Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine also creates some pipeline activity for internationally educated healthcare workers in the Upper Valley region.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored medical assistant jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
