Which companies sponsor visas for software quality assurance roles in New Hampshire?
BAE Systems, Oracle, and Segue Technologies are among the larger employers in New Hampshire with documented H-1B visa sponsorship activity for technical roles. Nashua and Manchester host a cluster of defense contractors and enterprise software firms that have filed Labor Condition Applications for QA and software testing positions. Smaller SaaS and cybersecurity companies in the southern corridor also sponsor, though less frequently than larger organizations.
Which visa types are most common for software quality assurance roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for software quality assurance professionals in New Hampshire. QA engineers and test automation specialists generally qualify as specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Canadian citizens may also qualify under the TN visa category. Applicants with exceptional credentials can explore the O-1A, though it requires substantial evidence of distinction in the field.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most software quality assurance sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the majority of software quality assurance sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Nashua's position along the Massachusetts border gives it proximity to the Greater Boston tech market, attracting mid-size tech and defense firms with QA needs. Manchester, as the state's largest city, hosts corporate offices and government contractors that hire for testing and quality engineering roles. Concord and Portsmouth have smaller but active tech communities.
How to find software quality assurance visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse software quality assurance roles in New Hampshire without sifting through positions that won't consider international candidates. The platform surfaces roles from employers who have indicated sponsorship willingness, which is particularly useful in a smaller market like New Hampshire where QA openings are concentrated among a narrower set of employers than in larger tech hubs.
Are there any state-specific considerations for software quality assurance professionals seeking sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since take-home pay differs from neighboring Massachusetts. QA professionals targeting defense contractors like BAE Systems should be aware that some positions require security clearances, which can complicate or restrict sponsorship for non-citizens. The University of New Hampshire and Southern New Hampshire University produce local software engineering graduates, so international candidates benefit from distinguishing specialized testing skills like test automation, Selenium, or performance engineering.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software quality assurance jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
