As a Field Service Engineer supporting Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), you work directly at customer substations and power facilities across the United States, providing technical support throughout all phases of project execution, including installation, commissioning, testing, acceptance, and handover. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide technical support throughout all phases of GIS project execution, including installation, commissioning, testing, acceptance, and handover
- Provide on‑site supervision for the installation and commissioning of GIS substations
- Manage troubleshooting efforts involving field personnel and subcontractors
- Support and oversee contracted maintenance activities to ensure work is completed effectively
- Maintain detailed site documentation, including operational procedures, performance reports, test data, and equipment manuals
- Coordinate and communicate with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to support smooth site execution
- Work closely with customers on‑site to support service outcomes and satisfaction
- Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, vehicles, materials, and supplies at job sites
