Which agriculture companies sponsor Green Card visas in New Jersey?
New Jersey's largest agricultural employers with Green Card sponsorship activity are concentrated in the produce and nursery sectors. Operations in Salem and Cumberland counties, including large-scale vegetable farms and greenhouse growers, have filed PERM labor certifications for roles in crop management and agronomy. Food processing companies along the Delaware River corridor and wholesale nursery operations in Monmouth County also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as recurring sponsors.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most agriculture Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Bridgeton and Vineland in Cumberland County generate the highest concentration of agriculture Green Card sponsorship activity in New Jersey, given the region's dense vegetable and fruit farming operations. Salem in Salem County and Moorestown in Burlington County are also active, particularly for nursery and greenhouse roles. These southern New Jersey counties account for the majority of the state's commercial farmland and corresponding employer sponsorship filings.
What types of agriculture roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in New Jersey?
Roles requiring specialized education or demonstrated expertise are most likely to qualify for employer-sponsored Green Cards in New Jersey agriculture. These include agronomists, crop scientists, agricultural engineers, pest management specialists, and food safety managers. Nursery and greenhouse operations also sponsor horticulturists and plant pathologists. Seasonal field labor positions generally do not qualify under the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories, which require either a bachelor's degree or documented skilled worker qualifications.
How do I find agriculture Green Card sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find agriculture Green Card sponsorship jobs in New Jersey, as the platform filters specifically by visa type and industry so you are not sorting through roles that do not offer sponsorship. New Jersey agriculture roles on Migrate Mate span crop science, agronomy, and food processing management across Cumberland, Salem, and Burlington counties. Setting up alerts for New Jersey agriculture listings helps you respond quickly when sponsoring employers post openings.
Are there state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in New Jersey agriculture?
New Jersey's Right to Farm Act and its dense concentration of specialty crop farms create steady demand for skilled agricultural workers, which supports employer willingness to pursue PERM labor certification. However, New Jersey's proximity to major East Coast labor markets means employers must conduct thorough domestic recruitment as part of the PERM process before sponsoring a foreign national. The state's active farmworker advocacy organizations also mean that prevailing wage compliance is closely monitored for sponsored positions.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card agriculture jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
