Which companies sponsor visas for insurance collectors in New Jersey?
Established insurance carriers with significant New Jersey operations are the most active sponsors for insurance collector roles. Companies such as Prudential Financial (headquartered in Newark), Chubb, and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield have sponsored workers in finance and collections functions. Regional specialty insurers and third-party claims management firms operating out of Parsippany and Iselin also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data for similar positions.
Which visa types are most common for insurance collector roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for insurance collector positions when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field such as finance, accounting, or business administration and meets the specialty occupation standard. Some candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship pursue TN status under the USMCA if their qualifications align with an eligible professional category. Employers determine which classification applies based on the specific duties and educational requirements of the position.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most insurance collector sponsorship jobs?
Newark and Jersey City account for the largest share of insurance sector employment in New Jersey, driven by proximity to major carrier headquarters and financial services firms. Parsippany-Troy Hills is a secondary hub with several insurance company offices concentrated in Morris County. Iselin and Woodbridge in Middlesex County also host collections and accounts receivable operations for mid-size insurance organizations, making them practical targets when researching where sponsorship opportunities are concentrated.
How to find insurance collector visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find insurance collector roles in New Jersey that explicitly offer visa sponsorship, with job listings filtered so you are not sorting through positions that will not support your immigration needs. Search using insurance collector or collections specialist as your role and filter by New Jersey to see current opportunities. Reviewing employer H-1B and LCA disclosure records can also help you identify which New Jersey carriers have sponsored similar positions in prior years.
Are there state-specific considerations for insurance collector roles and visa sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey's Department of Labor publishes prevailing wage determinations that employers must meet when filing a Labor Condition Application for H-1B sponsorship, and these figures reflect the higher cost of living in the New York metropolitan area. Insurance collectors in New Jersey often work under state insurance regulations that may require specific licensing, which employers factor into their hiring and sponsorship decisions. Candidates with collections experience in regulated financial environments tend to be more competitive for sponsored roles in this state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored insurance collector jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
