The Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging Group is actively seeking a Vice President to join our Charlotte office. This REGAL vertical is extremely active with both private and public company transaction activity in the U.S. and internationally. The candidate will be based in Charlotte, but working with senior coverage officers across real estate, gaming and lodging globally to spearhead execution and marketing and support idea generation. The candidate will also have the opportunity to hone coverage skills and call on private and public companies over the next several years to establish his / her own client universe.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Vice President’s will assume significant responsibilities related to pitching and executing advisory and capital markets transactions for a broad group of public and private clients. These responsibilities afford direct and active interaction with the senior executive management teams of our clients and will include the following:
- Assist in and lead the execution of M&A, restructuring and recapitalization transactions as well as equity and debt financings
- Work with a team on the preparation of pitch books and live deal materials including offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, and prospectuses
- Direct the preparation financial analyses to include valuation, discounted cash flow, pro forma merger, precedent transaction, and comparable companies analyses
- Analyzing business plans and participating in due diligence sessions
- Develop client relationships through deal execution and pitching
- Travel with MDs to help in client coverage
- Carry the in-office culture
REQUIRED BACKGROUND
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferably in Finance/Accounting and at least 6+ years of Investment Banking experience; OR an MBA and at least one year of relevant REGAL investment banking experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong modeling background with familiarity running LBOs, real estate waterfalls and REIT merger math
- Ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
- Resourceful self-starter, able to work autonomously and as team player
