Preferred Qualifications
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, complex and dynamic environment with evolving changes.
Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
Compensation
- The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 - $150,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.

Which insurance companies sponsor TN visas in North Carolina?
Several large insurers with North Carolina operations have sponsored TN visas for qualifying professionals, including Nationwide, Lincoln Financial Group, Allstate, and Cigna, which has a significant presence in the Charlotte area. Regional carriers and reinsurance firms based in Raleigh and Greensboro also sponsor TN workers in actuarial and underwriting roles. Sponsorship availability depends on the specific role, business need, and employer willingness at the time of hiring.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most insurance TN sponsorship jobs?
Charlotte is the primary hub, driven by its concentration of financial services and insurance companies alongside major banking institutions. Raleigh and Durham are growing centers for insurance technology and health insurance operations, partly fueled by Research Triangle Park employers. Greensboro also has a notable insurance employment base. Most TN-sponsored insurance roles in North Carolina are concentrated in these four metro areas.
What types of insurance roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in insurance is tied to specific USMCA-listed occupations, not the industry broadly. Roles that commonly qualify include actuary, accountant, computer systems analyst, and economist positions within insurance firms. Underwriters and risk analysts may qualify if the role requires and the candidate holds a relevant bachelor's degree in a closely matching field. General claims adjusting or sales roles without a degree requirement typically do not qualify.
How do I find insurance TN sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for professionals seeking U.S. visa sponsorship, including TN roles in insurance. You can filter directly by visa type, state, and industry to surface North Carolina insurance employers who have indicated TN sponsorship willingness. This is more targeted than general job searching, since most standard job boards do not filter by visa sponsorship type, making it harder to identify which employers will actually support a TN application.
Are there any state-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in North Carolina's insurance industry?
North Carolina requires insurance professionals in licensed roles, such as adjusters or producers, to obtain a state license regardless of visa status. This does not affect TN eligibility itself, but Canadian and Mexican professionals should confirm licensure requirements with the North Carolina Department of Insurance before accepting a role. Additionally, North Carolina's insurance market includes a significant volume of health and life insurance work tied to the state's large hospital systems, which can create additional compliance considerations around credentialing timelines.
