Which companies sponsor visas for compliance analysts in Ohio?
Financial institutions and healthcare organizations account for a significant share of compliance analyst sponsorships in Ohio. JPMorgan Chase and KeyBank in Cleveland, Nationwide and Huntington Bancshares in Columbus, and Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati have all filed Labor Condition Applications for compliance roles. Large manufacturers like Procter and Gamble and medical companies such as Cardinal Health also appear in federal sponsorship disclosure data for similar positions.
Which visa types are most common for compliance analyst roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for compliance analysts in Ohio, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as finance, accounting, or business administration, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA professional category. Australian citizens should also evaluate the E-3 visa, which follows a similar specialty occupation framework to the H-1B.
Which cities in Ohio have the most compliance analyst sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is Ohio's largest hub for compliance analyst sponsorship, driven by its concentration of banking headquarters, insurance companies, and state government contractors. Cleveland follows closely, with a strong financial services sector anchored by KeyBank and PNC regional operations. Cincinnati rounds out the top three, supported by consumer goods, healthcare, and regional banking employers. Smaller markets like Dayton and Akron have fewer openings but some activity tied to healthcare systems and manufacturing compliance.
How to find compliance analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, letting you search compliance analyst roles in Ohio without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can narrow results by city, visa type, and industry to focus on employers in Columbus's financial district, Cleveland's banking sector, or Cincinnati's healthcare and consumer goods companies. Migrate Mate pulls from employers with verified sponsorship histories, saving significant research time.
Are there state-specific factors that affect compliance analyst sponsorship in Ohio?
Ohio's strong presence of federally regulated industries, including banking, insurance, and healthcare, means compliance analyst roles here often require familiarity with frameworks like BSA/AML, HIPAA, or FDA regulations, which can influence how employers classify and petition for these positions. Ohio also has several large public universities, including Ohio State and Case Western Reserve, that produce compliance-adjacent graduates, creating a competitive local talent pool that international candidates should account for when evaluating sponsorship prospects.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored compliance analyst jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
