Which e-commerce companies in Ohio sponsor H-1B visas?
Major Ohio e-commerce employers sponsoring H-1B visas include Abercrombie & Fitch (Columbus), American Greetings (Cleveland), and Cardinal Health's digital divisions. Tech-focused e-commerce companies like Root Insurance and CoverMyMeds also sponsor visas for software engineers, data scientists, and digital marketing specialists. Many Columbus-based startups and mid-size e-commerce companies actively recruit international talent for technical roles.
What visa types are most common for e-commerce jobs in Ohio?
H-1B visas dominate e-commerce sponsorship in Ohio, particularly for software engineers, data analysts, and digital marketing managers. O-1 visas are occasionally used for senior technical leaders or specialized e-commerce consultants with exceptional backgrounds. L-1 visas apply when international e-commerce companies transfer employees to Ohio operations, while TN visas serve Canadian and Mexican professionals in qualifying e-commerce roles.
How to find e-commerce visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate specializes in connecting international job seekers with e-commerce visa sponsorship opportunities throughout Ohio. Focus your search on Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland where most e-commerce employers are located. Target roles in software development, digital marketing, data analysis, and supply chain management, as these positions frequently qualify for H-1B sponsorship at Ohio e-commerce companies.
Which Ohio cities have the most e-commerce visa sponsorship opportunities?
Columbus leads Ohio's e-commerce sponsorship market, home to Abercrombie & Fitch, Root Insurance, and numerous tech startups. Cincinnati follows with companies like American Greetings and Kroger's digital divisions. Cleveland offers opportunities at healthcare e-commerce companies and logistics firms. Dayton and Akron provide additional options, particularly in B2B e-commerce and supply chain technology roles.
How do Ohio's prevailing wages affect e-commerce visa applications?
Ohio's prevailing wages for e-commerce roles are generally lower than coastal markets, making H-1B applications more accessible for mid-size companies. Software engineers typically qualify at Level I or II wages, while senior positions may require Level III. The lower cost of living allows Ohio e-commerce companies to offer competitive total compensation packages while meeting prevailing wage requirements for visa sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored e-commerce jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
