Search Consulting Jobs in OhioConsulting STEM OPT Sponsorship Jobs in Ohio: Frequently Asked Questions
Which consulting companies sponsor F-1 STEM OPT visas in Ohio?
Large professional services firms with Ohio offices, including Deloitte, Accenture, PwC, EY, KPMG, and Booz Allen Hamilton, have consistent histories of filing Labor Condition Applications for STEM-related consulting roles. Mid-size technology consulting firms serving Ohio's healthcare and manufacturing sectors also appear regularly in DOL disclosure data. Filing history varies by office location and practice group, so reviewing employer-level LCA records is the most reliable way to assess sponsorship patterns.
Which cities in Ohio have the most consulting F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is Ohio's primary consulting market, anchored by its status as the state capital and a growing technology hub, with firms serving financial services, insurance, and healthcare clients. Cleveland supports consulting demand through its healthcare corridor and manufacturing sector, attracting operations and analytics roles. Cincinnati rounds out the top three, with consulting activity tied to consumer goods, logistics, and regional banking clients. Dublin and Westerville near Columbus also host consulting office clusters.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship?
Roles most commonly qualifying under STEM-designated STEM degree classifications in consulting include data analytics consultant, technology implementation consultant, operations research analyst, management analyst with quantitative focus, and cybersecurity advisory positions. The role must appear under a STEM degree classification included on the DHS STEM OPT designated degree program list, and the employer must be enrolled in E-Verify. Generalist business consulting roles that map to non-STEM STEM degree classifications typically do not qualify for the 24-month STEM OPT extension.
How do I find consulting F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate lets you filter consulting jobs in Ohio specifically by F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship, drawing on DOL Labor Condition Application filing data to surface employers with verified sponsorship histories in the state. This is more targeted than general job searches because results reflect actual employer filing behavior rather than self-reported sponsorship claims. Filter by city, Columbus, Cleveland, or Cincinnati, and by consulting or professional services to narrow results to your target market.
Are there any Ohio-specific or consulting industry considerations for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship?
Ohio does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal USCIS and DOL rules, but consulting firms operating across multiple Ohio offices may file LCAs tied to a specific worksite address, which affects the prevailing wage rate applied to your role. Project-based consulting work that involves client sites in different Ohio cities can require additional LCA amendments. Confirming which office location your role is officially assigned to is important before and during the OPT authorization period.
