Which companies sponsor visas for radiologic technologists in Ohio?
Ohio's largest health systems are the most consistent sponsors for radiologic technologist positions. Cleveland Clinic, OhioHealth, University Hospitals, and the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center have all filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for imaging roles in recent years. Smaller regional hospital networks and outpatient imaging centers sponsor less frequently, so focusing your search on major academic medical centers and multi-facility health systems gives you the best odds.
Which visa types are most common for radiologic technologist roles in Ohio?
The H-1B visa is the most common sponsorship path for radiologic technologists in Ohio, provided the role is structured as a specialty occupation requiring a specific bachelor's degree. Some internationally trained technologists also enter through EB-3 immigrant visa sponsorship, particularly at larger health systems with established international recruitment programs. ARRT certification and state licensure from the Ohio State Medical Board are prerequisites regardless of visa category.
Which cities in Ohio have the most radiologic technologist sponsorship jobs?
Cleveland leads Ohio for radiologic technologist sponsorship activity, driven by Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals operating dozens of facilities across the metro area. Columbus is a strong second, with OhioHealth and Wexner Medical Center anchoring demand. Cincinnati also sees consistent hiring through TriHealth and UC Health. Smaller cities like Akron, Toledo, and Dayton have hospital employers but generate sponsorship opportunities less frequently than the three major metros.
How to find radiologic technologist visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find radiologic technologist visa sponsorship jobs filtered specifically to Ohio. The platform surfaces roles at employers with documented sponsorship history, so you're not applying blind to positions where sponsorship is uncertain. Filter by Ohio and the radiologic technologist category to see current openings at health systems like Cleveland Clinic and OhioHealth that have active international hiring programs.
Are there state-specific requirements for radiologic technologists seeking sponsorship in Ohio?
Yes. Ohio requires radiologic technologists to hold a license issued by the Ohio State Medical Board before they can practice, and most employers will not finalize a visa petition until licensure is confirmed or in process. ARRT certification in radiography is the standard pathway to Ohio licensure. International applicants should also verify their educational credentials meet Ohio's equivalency standards early in the process, as this step can add time before an employer is ready to file.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored radiologic technologist jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
