Which companies sponsor visas for licensed practical nurses in Oklahoma?
Health systems with documented H-1B and PERM sponsorship activity in Oklahoma include INTEGRIS Health, OU Health, Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City, Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa, and SSM Health. Long-term care chains and rural critical access hospitals also hire LPNs but sponsorship availability varies by facility. Large multi-site employers tend to have established immigration processes compared to independent clinics.
Which visa types are most common for licensed practical nurse roles in Oklahoma?
EB-3 immigrant visas are the most common permanent pathway for LPNs in Oklahoma, as licensed practical nursing qualifies as a skilled occupation under that category. Temporary nonimmigrant options are limited because LPN roles typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B classification. Some internationally trained nurses enter on TN visas if they hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship and meet NAFTA-successor occupation lists.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most licensed practical nurse sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City and Tulsa account for the largest share of LPN sponsorship opportunities, driven by their concentration of hospital systems, outpatient clinics, and skilled nursing facilities. Lawton, Norman, and Broken Arrow also have active LPN hiring through regional medical centers. Rural areas across eastern and western Oklahoma often face acute nursing shortages, and some critical access hospitals there pursue EB-3 sponsorship specifically to fill persistent vacancies.
How to find licensed practical nurse visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship roles, making it straightforward to browse LPN openings in Oklahoma without sorting through positions that do not offer sponsorship. You can search by state and role to surface relevant postings from health systems, long-term care operators, and clinic networks across Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and smaller communities. Filtering for EB-3 willing employers is particularly useful for LPN candidates.
What state-specific factors should licensed practical nurses consider when seeking sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma requires LPNs to hold an active license from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, and international applicants must have their nursing credentials evaluated before licensure. The state's rural healthcare shortage designations can strengthen an employer's case for sponsoring foreign national nurses through EB-3 PERM. Oklahoma's nursing programs at institutions like Tulsa Community College and Rose State College also create local competition, so sponsored candidates should be prepared to demonstrate qualifications that address specific facility needs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored licensed practical nurse jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
