Which companies sponsor visas for project management coordinators in Oklahoma?
Energy companies like Devon Energy, Chesapeake Energy, and Williams Companies have sponsored work visas for project management roles in Oklahoma, as has aerospace maintenance firm NORDAM in Tulsa. Defense contractors with Oklahoma City footprints, including Boeing and L3Harris, also appear in Department of Labor LCA filings for project coordination positions. Sponsorship availability varies by business cycle and headcount needs.
Which visa types are most common for project management coordinator roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project management coordinators in Oklahoma, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field like business administration, engineering, or information systems. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management categories. Australian citizens may explore the E-3 visa. L-1B transfers apply when candidates are relocating within a multinational employer.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most project management coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City and Tulsa account for the majority of project management coordinator sponsorship activity in the state. Oklahoma City draws from government contracting, oil and gas, and healthcare sectors, with employers anchored near Tinker Air Force Base. Tulsa concentrates energy infrastructure, aerospace MRO, and manufacturing employers. Norman and Stillwater see occasional openings tied to university research and technology commercialization.
How to find project management coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have a documented history of visa sponsorship, making it easier to identify project management coordinator openings in Oklahoma without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can search by role and state to surface relevant postings across energy, aerospace, and government contracting employers active in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
Are there any Oklahoma-specific considerations for project management coordinator visa sponsorship?
Oklahoma's energy sector drives significant demand for project management coordinators with engineering or operations backgrounds, which can strengthen H-1B specialty occupation arguments when the role is tied to technical project delivery. The state's lower cost of living affects Department of Labor prevailing wage determinations, so offered compensation must still meet the certified wage level for the specific occupation and metropolitan area where the job is located.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management coordinator jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
