Which companies sponsor visas for service coordinators in Oregon?
Oregon's largest visa-sponsoring employers for service coordinators are concentrated in healthcare and social services. Oregon Health and Science University, Providence Health and Services, Legacy Health, and PeaceHealth have documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories through Department of Labor filings. State agencies and nonprofits focused on disability services and developmental support, such as Albertina Kerr and Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare, also hire service coordinators and may support sponsorship for specialized roles.
Which visa types are most common for service coordinator roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for service coordinator positions in Oregon, particularly when the role requires a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or a related field and is classified as a specialty occupation. Candidates from Canada or Mexico may qualify under the TN visa in relevant professional categories. Some university-affiliated or research-connected positions may also support J-1 visa sponsorship, though this is less common for coordinator-level roles.
Which cities in Oregon have the most service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the majority of service coordinator visa sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of hospital systems, behavioral health organizations, and social services agencies. Eugene, home to the University of Oregon and affiliated health providers, is the next significant market. Bend has seen growing demand in care coordination as its healthcare infrastructure expands, and Salem sees activity through state government and community-based service organizations.
How to find service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the United States. You can filter by role and state to find service coordinator positions in Oregon where employers have indicated sponsorship openness. Because sponsorship willingness is not always listed in standard job postings, using a platform like Migrate Mate that surfaces sponsoring employers directly saves significant time compared to applying broadly and asking employers one by one.
Are there state-specific considerations for service coordinators seeking sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon's behavioral health and disability services sector is shaped by state Medicaid programs and OHA licensing requirements, which can affect how roles are classified and whether they meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard. Employers filing Labor Condition Applications must meet Oregon's prevailing wage levels for the specific occupational category, which the Department of Labor determines by region. Candidates with degrees in clinical social work, counseling, or case management are generally better positioned for sponsorship than those in generalist coordinator roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service coordinator jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
