Which companies sponsor visas for corporate development managers in South Carolina?
Large multinational manufacturers with significant South Carolina footprints, such as BMW Manufacturing in Spartanburg and Michelin North America in Greenville, have sponsored work visas for strategic and corporate development roles. Financial institutions, healthcare systems like Prisma Health, and private equity-backed companies headquartered in Columbia and Charleston also appear in sponsorship records. Sponsorship is more common at established enterprises than at smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for corporate development manager roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa for corporate development managers in South Carolina, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, business administration, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation requirement. Candidates with multinational employer relationships may also qualify for L-1A intracompany transferee visas. Australians may pursue the E-3 visa as an alternative to the H-1B for the same roles.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most corporate development manager sponsorship jobs?
Greenville and Spartanburg lead due to the concentration of European manufacturing multinationals, particularly in the automotive and tire sectors, that regularly bring in international talent. Columbia, as the state capital and financial center, sees corporate development activity through banking, insurance, and healthcare organizations. Charleston is an emerging market for corporate development roles tied to logistics, aerospace, and technology-adjacent businesses expanding in the region.
How to find corporate development manager visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have a demonstrated history of visa sponsorship, saving you from sifting through postings that won't support international candidates. For corporate development manager roles in South Carolina, you can search by state and job title on Migrate Mate to surface relevant opportunities across Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston. This is particularly useful given how infrequently these senior roles are openly advertised.
Are there any state-specific considerations for corporate development manager visa sponsorship in South Carolina?
South Carolina's economy is heavily anchored in foreign direct investment, particularly from German, French, and Japanese manufacturers, which means many large employers already have established immigration programs and HR teams experienced with H-1B and L-1 petitions. The state does not impose additional licensing requirements for corporate development roles. However, because the corporate development function sits at the intersection of finance and strategy, employers typically require significant prior M&A or strategic finance experience before initiating sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored corporate development manager jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
