POSITION INFORMATION
Position Overview
We are looking for a Product Manager to own the “Intelligence Infrastructure” that fuels an agentic operational workflow. Instead of managing manual processes, you will be the architect of our Source of Truth. You will focus on how we collect, aggregate, and govern data within our scalable cloud data and compute ecosystem to ensure our platform and our AI agents are operating on high-fidelity, high-accuracy data.
The Product Manager supports and grows this infrastructure throughout its life cycle, working in a matrix environment across multiple internal departments, interfacing with customers, researching and identifying options to improve the product. This role works across multiple internal departments to define and implement the product’s vision and roadmap, assuring measurable attainment of revenue and customer satisfaction goals, and aligning all activities with HealthStream’s organizational strategy and goals.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
Product Management
- Create confidence, clarity, and customer connection for all product stakeholders.
- Create and manage strategy for Intelligence Infrastructure within the context of the overall product family and organizational priorities.
- Conduct research to fully understand the competitive environment, market share and report internally on this analysis.
- Informally manage, support, and direct an organization-wide and cross-functional team of employees who work within a matrix environment for assigned products.
- Identify, resolve, and monitor customer and product issues with the assistance of client services support.
- Lead the strategy for aggregating disparate datasets into our centralized analytical data warehouse, moving us from silos to a unified platform.
- Develop and document the “Rules of the Road” for our data. You will define the logic and schemas that our AI agents use to make decisions.
- Work closely with engineering to optimize our cloud pipeline and warehousing environment for scalability and performance.
- Establish data validation rules and ingestion standards to ensure the “Source of Truth” remains clean and reliable.
- Act as the translator between raw data infrastructure and high-level product goals.
- Work effectively with Data Engineers and AI Researchers, influencing the technical roadmap through data-backed evidence rather than formal authority.
- A “Builder” mentality—you are comfortable taking a high-level goal (e.g., “Aggregate data”) and architecting the rules to make it happen without a step-by-step manual.
- Successfully use modern technical tools (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Console, Postman/APIs) alongside standard business applications.
- Ability to explain data schemas and infrastructure logic to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to translate messy, disparate data sources into a structured “Source of Truth” for automated systems.
Data Partner Management
- Research and evaluate potential new data partnerships and other external opportunities.
- Make recommendations for future new partnerships and manage product enhancements with existing partners.
- Conduct negotiations with partners to finalize business relationships and contracting, with the support of Product Management leadership and internal legal counsel.
- Manage ongoing relationships with existing data partners and data providers, including gaining a deep understanding of business and technical aspects of the relationship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field preferred (e.g., CS, Data Science, Info Systems) or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years in Product Management, Data Engineering, or Technical Analytics.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, or Glue) and Snowflake is strongly preferred.
- Experience with API-first architecture and an understanding of the LLM lifecycle (prompt engineering, context management, or RAG) is a significant advantage.
- Experience in healthcare technology, credentialing, or compliance software is a plus.
Qualifications
- Plans and executes own activities with generally defined goals and minimal supervision.
- Manages activities for multiple concurrent and complex projects with the appropriate prioritization and focus.
- Works within a multi-disciplinary and cross-functional team with respect towards others and focus on successfully meeting team goals.
- Appropriately influences cross-functional team members without formal authority or management control.
- Establishes high level of trust and credibility internally, with business partners, and with customers.
Compensation
- The salary range for this position is $86,400 - $100,000. Salary will be determined on the candidate’s level of experience and qualifications. Compensation will be commensurate with skills, relevant experience, and performance in similar roles.

Search Product Owner Jobs in TennesseeProduct Owner Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for product owners in Tennessee?
Nashville-based HCA Healthcare and Change Healthcare are among the more active sponsors for product-focused technology roles, given their large digital health divisions. In Memphis, FedEx and AutoZone have sponsored product owners within their technology organizations. Smaller enterprise software companies and healthtech startups concentrated in Nashville's growing tech corridor also appear in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for product owner positions.
Which visa types are most common for product owner roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for product owner roles in Tennessee, as the position generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, or business administration. Some candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, while Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible under the TN visa, provided their specific qualifications and job duties align with the applicable occupational categories.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most product owner sponsorship jobs?
Nashville accounts for the largest share of product owner sponsorship activity in Tennessee, driven by its concentration of healthcare technology, financial services, and enterprise software companies. Memphis has a secondary cluster tied to logistics and distribution technology employers. Knoxville and Chattanooga have smaller but growing technology sectors, with some product owner roles emerging from manufacturing technology and energy companies operating in those markets.
How to find product owner visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to roles where employers have a demonstrated history of visa sponsorship, so you can focus your search on product owner positions in Tennessee without manually screening out companies that don't sponsor. You can filter by location to target Nashville, Memphis, or other Tennessee cities. This is more efficient than broad searches because sponsorship history is built into the results from the start.
Are there any state-specific considerations for product owners seeking visa sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee's dominant industries, particularly healthcare technology centered in Nashville, mean that product owner roles often require familiarity with regulated environments such as HIPAA compliance or electronic health records systems. Employers in these sectors may have more defined sponsorship processes due to their size and existing HR infrastructure. Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee also supply graduate talent pipelines that some employers draw from when considering international candidates for product roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product owner jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
