Tips for Finding H-1B1 Chile Sponsorship Jobs in Texas
Verify your specialty occupation documentation early
The H-1B1 Chile requires a position that demands a bachelor's degree in a specific specialty. Pull your O*NET occupation profile now and confirm your job duties align with the theoretical and practical application requirement before applying.
Search LCA filings by Texas metro area
Before reaching out to employers, use the OFLC Wage Search to filter Labor Condition Application filings by Houston, Dallas, or Austin. This shows you which companies have already certified H-1B1 Chile positions and are familiar with the process.
Target Texas energy sector employers directly
Houston-based energy and petrochemical companies file H-1B1 Chile petitions regularly for engineering and geoscience roles. Approach engineering departments at refineries and offshore operators rather than their general HR portals, where H-1B1 Chile familiarity is lower.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsoring employers
Filter your Texas job search by H-1B1 Chile filing history so you only contact employers who have sponsored this specific visa. Migrate Mate surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application data by employer and role, cutting out the guesswork entirely.
Confirm employer awareness of the annual cap
The H-1B1 Chile has an annual allocation of 1,400 visas. Ask your prospective Texas employer whether their immigration counsel tracks cap availability, since filings later in the fiscal year can face timing constraints if the cap nears exhaustion.
Prepare your offer letter before the LCA is filed
USCIS requires the employer to file an LCA with DOL before the H-1B1 Chile petition. Your offer letter detailing job duties, work location, and start date must be ready before that step begins, so delays on your end don't push the timeline into the next fiscal year.

Which industries in Texas sponsor the most H-1B1 Chile visas?
Technology companies in Austin and Dallas sponsor the largest share of H-1B1 Chile positions in Texas, primarily for software engineering and systems analysis roles. The Houston energy sector is the second-largest source, covering petroleum engineering and geoscience positions. Healthcare systems across San Antonio and Dallas also file regularly for clinical and health informatics roles.
Which cities in Texas have the most H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Houston leads in total H-1B1 Chile filings due to its concentration of energy and engineering employers. Austin follows closely, driven by its technology sector. Dallas and the broader DFW metro add significant volume across finance, IT consulting, and telecommunications. San Antonio is a growing market, particularly in healthcare and cybersecurity, due to its expanding medical and military contractor base.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Texas?
Qualifying roles must require a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related specialty field. In Texas, this includes software engineers, petroleum engineers, financial analysts, biomedical engineers, and registered nurses with clinical specializations. Generalist roles that accept any degree field typically do not qualify. Review your occupation's O*NET profile to confirm the degree-field specificity requirement is met before pursuing an employer.
How do I find H-1B1 Chile jobs in Texas?
Start by identifying Texas employers who have already filed H-1B1 Chile Labor Condition Applications through DOL, which signals existing familiarity with the visa type. Migrate Mate filters job results by verified H-1B1 Chile filing history so you can target employers in Austin, Houston, and Dallas who have sponsored this specific visa before, rather than spending time educating companies on the process.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
