Which healthcare companies in Texas sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas?
Large integrated health systems with consistent H-1B1 Chile filing histories in Texas include Houston Methodist, Baylor Scott & White Health, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Texas Children's Hospital, and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Academic medical centers and large multi-site hospital networks file more frequently than smaller private practices, as they typically have dedicated immigration compliance teams managing Labor Condition Application filings with DOL.
Which Texas cities have the most healthcare H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Houston leads in volume, anchored by the Texas Medical Center, one of the largest medical complexes in the world, which houses dozens of hospitals, research institutions, and specialty clinics. Dallas-Fort Worth is a strong second, with major systems like UT Southwestern and Baylor Scott & White. San Antonio and Austin are growing markets, particularly in hospital expansion and health technology roles requiring specialty occupation credentials.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship must meet the specialty occupation standard, requiring at least a U.S. bachelor's degree or its equivalent in a directly related field. In healthcare, this commonly includes registered nurses with a BSN, physical therapists, occupational therapists, clinical laboratory scientists, health informatics specialists, biomedical engineers, and medical research coordinators. General aide or technician roles without a degree requirement typically do not qualify.
How do I find healthcare H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, you can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface Texas healthcare employers with verified H-1B1 Chile Labor Condition Application filing history. This removes the guesswork of cold-applying to employers who have never filed for this visa category. Focusing on employers with an active filing record in Texas healthcare significantly improves your chances of finding a role with genuine sponsorship support.
Are there Texas-specific considerations for healthcare H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
Texas does not impose state-level immigration restrictions beyond federal requirements, but healthcare workers must meet Texas state licensure requirements before starting work, for example, nurses must hold a Texas Board of Nursing license and physicians must be licensed through the Texas Medical Board. Employers typically require licensure to be in place or in process before filing a Labor Condition Application, so Chilean nationals should begin state licensing steps in parallel with their job search.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile healthcare jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
