Which consumer goods companies sponsor TN visas in Texas?
Several large consumer goods employers with significant Texas operations have a track record of TN visa sponsorship, including PepsiCo (Plano), Kimberly-Clark (Irving), and 7-Eleven (Irving). Retailers and CPG distributors headquartered in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are also active sponsors. TN sponsorship is handled at the employer level, so hiring decisions and sponsorship willingness vary by company, role, and business need.
Which cities in Texas have the most consumer goods TN sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads by a significant margin, driven by the concentration of CPG and retail headquarters in Plano, Irving, and Fort Worth. Houston is the second-largest market, with roles tied to distribution, operations, and procurement in the energy and consumer products sectors. Austin has grown as a hub for consumer brand startups and product management roles, particularly in tech-adjacent consumer goods.
What types of consumer goods roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN status requires the role to fall within a USMCA-recognized profession and typically demands a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a related field. In consumer goods, roles in marketing research, financial analysis, supply chain engineering, industrial engineering, computer systems analysis, and scientific positions in product development are the most common qualifying categories. General management, sales representative, and operational roles without a degree requirement rarely qualify.
How do I find consumer goods TN sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for candidates who need visa sponsorship, including TN status, and lets you filter by visa type and industry. For consumer goods TN jobs in Texas, you can filter to see only roles where employers have indicated TN sponsorship, saving time compared to parsing through general job postings. Migrate Mate focuses on Canadian and Mexican nationals navigating TN sponsorship, which is particularly useful when targeting Texas-based CPG employers.
Are there any Texas-specific or industry-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in consumer goods?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons but has no bearing on TN eligibility. Industry-specific considerations include the fact that many consumer goods roles in Texas involve cross-border supply chain operations with Mexico, which can add complexity around travel and status maintenance. TN status must be tied to a specific employer and role, so job changes require restarting the TN process with the new employer.
