The Department of Technology Management and Mechatronics invites applications for a professional-in-residence faculty position in Technology Management, beginning January 1, 2027.
The professional-in-residence (PIR) teaches undergraduate mechatronics engineering technology courses, creates instructional materials, directs course projects, and holds regular office hours. 20% of the professional-in-residence is directed to industry and program informational outreach. The PIR participates collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote the general well-being of the department and college. Faculty may be required to teach day, evening, off-campus, and online courses as needed or assigned.

This position primarily teaches undergraduate mechatronics engineering technology courses, creates instructional materials, directs course projects, and holds regular office hours. The department will accept all qualified applications but is particularly interested in applicants with experience and knowledge of subject matter and curriculum development pertinent to the field of mechatronics engineering technology (e.g., programmers, logic controllers-PLC, advanced manufacturing, engineering, computer science, automation and robotics technology, industrial processes, quality, and reliability and safety, etc.).

Summary of Responsibilities
- Instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in classrooms, online, and laboratories, through demonstration, discussion, visual aids, individualized instruction, lectures, and other appropriate methods or educational delivery.
- Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of study that includes measurable objectives for each course taught. Prepares instructional materials. Evaluates student performance using appropriate testing and grading procedures.
- Engages service-wise with the community through activities such as community outreach, industry partnering, and curriculum alignment to meet the needs of industry partners.

- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Relevant industry and/or teaching experience.
