Which companies sponsor visas for program analysts in Utah?
Federal contractors and defense-adjacent employers are among the most active sponsors for program analysts in Utah. Companies like Northrop Grumman, Leidos, Booz Allen Hamilton, and L3Harris have filed H-1B petitions for program analyst roles in the state. Large technology employers and state government IT vendors operating out of Salt Lake City and Provo also have a history of sponsoring international candidates in this role.
Which visa types are most common for program analyst roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program analysts in Utah, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, or business administration. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may also be eligible for TN visa status under the USMCA, which can be a faster path for those who qualify.
Which cities in Utah have the most program analyst sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the majority of program analyst sponsorship activity in Utah, particularly in government contracting, financial services, and enterprise technology. Provo and Orem follow closely, supported by a dense cluster of software and data companies sometimes called the Silicon Slopes corridor. Ogden also has program analyst demand tied to Hill Air Force Base and its network of defense contractors.
How to find program analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles with visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to find program analyst positions in Utah without sifting through postings that don't support international candidates. You can search by role and state to surface employers actively hiring program analysts who need H-1B or other work visa support in cities like Salt Lake City, Provo, and Ogden.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for program analysts seeking visa sponsorship?
Many program analyst roles in Utah's defense and government contracting sector require security clearances, which can complicate or delay sponsorship for non-U.S. citizens since clearances are generally not available to foreign nationals. Candidates are more likely to find sponsorship-accessible roles in the commercial tech sector along the Silicon Slopes corridor. The University of Utah and Brigham Young University also produce graduates who enter the local program analyst pipeline, so competition for entry-level roles can be meaningful.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program analyst jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
