The ideal candidate will not only excel at delegation and oversight but will also demonstrate a willingness to directly engage in tasks to address potential blockers and drive project progress. We are looking for a professional with high emotional intelligence who also possesses a strong sense of ownership and is prepared to contribute directly to the execution of deliverables and team success.

- Stakeholder Coordination/Relationship Management: Develop and lead coordination efforts with cross functional project partners and/or stakeholders. Serve as primary point of project contact and help create/update status trackers, dashboards, leadership presentations, and project briefings to keep leadership and cross-functional stakeholders informed and aligned. Manage stakeholder expectations and cultivate partnership and trust.
- Own and Develop Team-wide Resources and Tools: Create and update team-wide internal and external-facing resources and tools, such as employee outreach platforms, GLC team pages, master document repository, compliance training library, etc. Manage team deliverables and maintain record of critical updates/changes to policies, systems, and processes.
- Support GLC Leadership and Team Management: Serve as a steward of GLC Team culture and support for GLC Leadership on initiatives and strategic tasks related to team management, such as budget management, travel tracking, legal operations coordination (vendor onboarding and billing), team-wide meeting setting/tracking (e.g., All Hands). Provide event planning and execution of team events and workshops.
- Training & Communications (T&C) Lead: Partner with GLC subject matter experts and cross-functional partners to design and implement an effective T&C program/initiatives. Serve as primary eLearning compliance administrator and respond to inquiries on training completion statistics. Lead efforts to secure T&C design resources and promotion of materials. Help define and track T&C initiative effectiveness, utilizing data/metrics to inform T&C strategy.

Which media and entertainment companies sponsor E-3 visas in Washington DC?
Washington DC's media sector includes several employers with E-3 sponsorship history, including NPR, PBS, National Geographic Society, and the DC bureau offices of major broadcast and digital news organizations. Policy-adjacent media companies and documentary production firms active in the DC area also appear in DOL Labor Condition Application records. Sponsorship patterns vary by employer size and hiring cycle, so reviewing LCA filing history is the most reliable indicator.
Which areas in Washington DC have the most media and entertainment E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Most media and entertainment E-3 roles in the DC area concentrate in the District itself, particularly around the Capitol Hill corridor, Northwest DC, and areas near major broadcasters and news bureaus. The broader DMV region extends opportunities into Northern Virginia, where digital media companies and government-adjacent communications firms operate, and suburban Maryland, home to additional production and media technology employers.
What types of media and entertainment roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for E-3 sponsorship must meet the specialty occupation standard, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In media and entertainment, qualifying positions commonly include broadcast journalists, documentary producers, digital content strategists, multimedia editors, communications analysts, and audio engineers with formal technical training. General production assistant or entry-level coordinator roles may face scrutiny if the degree requirement isn't clearly established in the job description.
How do I find media and entertainment E-3 sponsorship jobs in Washington DC?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa type and industry, making it practical to search specifically for media and entertainment roles where DC-area employers have E-3 LCA filing history. Because not every media employer advertises visa sponsorship upfront, filtering by verified sponsorship activity gives a more accurate picture than general job searches. You can also cross-reference employer names against DOL OFLC disclosure data to confirm prior E-3 filings.
Are there any DC-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in media and entertainment?
Washington DC's media sector is heavily oriented toward news, policy communications, and documentary work tied to federal institutions, which shapes the types of specialty occupation roles available. Many DC media employers operate as nonprofit broadcasters or bureau offices with specific headcount and budget cycles that affect when sponsorship is available. Australian applicants should also confirm that their intended role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS guidelines, as communications and media titles can vary significantly in their degree requirements across employers.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 media & entertainment jobs in Washington DC?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
