Which media and entertainment companies sponsor E-3 visas in Texas?
Texas-based media employers with documented international hiring include iHeartMedia and Audacy in radio broadcasting, AT&T's entertainment divisions in Dallas, and Nexstar Media Group, which is headquartered in Irving. Film and television production companies operating through Austin Studios and Dallas-area studio facilities have also filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty occupation roles. Sponsorship patterns vary by company size, role type, and current production needs.
Which cities in Texas have the most media and entertainment E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth concentrates the largest share of Texas media and entertainment sponsorship activity, anchored by major broadcasting headquarters and corporate media divisions. Austin has a growing digital media and interactive entertainment presence, particularly in gaming and streaming technology. Houston supports opportunities in broadcasting and sports media. San Antonio has a smaller but active local broadcast market. Dallas-Fort Worth remains the primary hub for corporate media roles requiring specialty occupation qualifications.
What types of media and entertainment roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship in media and entertainment generally applies to roles that require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Qualifying positions commonly include broadcast engineers, digital content strategists, UX designers for streaming platforms, software developers in entertainment technology, marketing analysts, and post-production supervisors. On-air talent and generalist production assistant roles are less likely to qualify because the degree requirement for those positions is often not occupationally specific.
How do I find media and entertainment E-3 sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for E-3 sponsorship jobs in Texas across media and entertainment, showing employers with verified Labor Condition Application filing history in the industry. This removes the guesswork of identifying which companies have sponsored E-3 workers before. You can narrow results by city and role type, which is particularly useful in a large state like Texas where opportunities are spread across Dallas, Austin, and Houston.
Are there any Texas-specific or industry-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in media and entertainment?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons when evaluating offers, though the E-3 prevailing wage requirement is set at the federal level using DOL wage data for each specific occupation and metropolitan area. Texas's right-to-work status and large media market mean employers are generally experienced with employment contracts. Production-based roles may involve project terms rather than indefinite employment, which can affect LCA filing structures and E-3 renewal timing.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 media & entertainment jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
