Which hospitality companies sponsor E-3 visas in Texas?
Large hotel management companies with a strong Texas presence, including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, and Omni Hotels, have filed Labor Condition Applications for hospitality roles in the past. Full-service convention hotels in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio tend to have more established sponsorship infrastructure than smaller independent properties, making them a practical starting point for E-3 applicants.
Which cities in Texas have the most hospitality E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Houston and Dallas have the highest concentration of hospitality E-3 opportunities, driven by their international airports, large convention centers, and corporate travel markets. San Antonio's River Walk hotel district and Austin's growing conference and leisure sector also generate consistent demand. Smaller markets like Fort Worth and The Woodlands have opportunities primarily within resort and full-service hotel properties.
What types of hospitality roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship in hospitality requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific related field. Roles that commonly meet this standard include food and beverage managers, hotel operations managers, revenue managers, event services managers, and executive chefs with formal culinary or hospitality management degrees. Front-line service roles without a degree requirement generally do not qualify.
How do I find hospitality E-3 sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for E-3 sponsorship roles and filters listings by visa type, industry, and state. For hospitality jobs in Texas, you can search by the Hospitality and Tourism category and filter to Texas to see employers with verified E-3 filing activity. Focusing on full-service hotels, convention properties, and hospitality management companies in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio will surface the most relevant opportunities.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for hospitality E-3 applicants?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects overall compensation comparisons with other states. The Texas hotel and convention sector is subject to seasonal demand peaks around major events in Austin, Houston, and San Antonio, so hiring timelines for management roles can align with those cycles. Australian applicants should confirm their degree is assessed as equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree and that the specific role description at the Texas property requires that level of qualification before proceeding.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 hospitality jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
