Which sports companies in Texas sponsor E-3 visas?
Texas-based professional franchises across the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, and NHL have established LCA filing histories, including organizations headquartered in Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. Large collegiate athletic departments at universities such as UT Austin and Texas A&M also sponsor specialty occupation roles. Sports medicine groups, fitness management companies, and sports analytics firms operating across the state round out the sponsoring employer pool.
Which Texas cities have the most sports E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads in volume, driven by multiple professional franchises and a dense network of sports business operations. Houston follows closely, with professional teams across several major leagues and a growing sports technology sector. Austin has seen increasing activity tied to collegiate athletics and emerging sports ventures. San Antonio offers opportunities linked to its NBA franchise and regional sports management organizations.
How do I find sports E-3 sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter verified E-3 sponsorship jobs by industry and state so you can see which Texas sports employers have active LCA filings. This saves you from manually cross-referencing OFLC disclosure data. Filtering by the Sports and Recreation category within Texas surfaces roles across professional teams, collegiate programs, sports medicine practices, and fitness management organizations that have already demonstrated sponsorship intent.
What types of sports roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Texas?
E-3 sponsorship requires the role to meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In the Texas sports sector, qualifying roles commonly include sports analytics, athletic performance science, sports medicine, physical therapy, sports marketing, event operations management, and sports broadcasting. General coaching or administrative assistant positions that do not require a specific degree typically do not qualify.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for sports E-3 sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects how employers structure compensation packages relative to prevailing wage requirements set by the DOL. The state's large number of professional sports franchises and major collegiate programs means LCA filings are relatively common in this industry, but each employer's HR and legal team must still complete the full sponsorship process independently. Texas-based roles at smaller regional sports organizations may have less prior sponsorship experience, so it is worth confirming an employer's willingness early in the process.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sports jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
