Which sports companies sponsor E-3 visas in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's most active sports E-3 sponsors include professional franchises such as the Milwaukee Bucks and Green Bay Packers, the University of Wisconsin athletic department, and regional sports medicine and performance organizations. Larger multi-facility fitness operators and sports technology firms headquartered in Milwaukee have also filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty roles in analytics, strength and conditioning, and sports science.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most sports E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and Madison account for the majority of sports E-3 openings in Wisconsin. Milwaukee's professional franchise ecosystem and growing sports medicine sector drive demand there, while Madison's concentration of university athletics, research facilities, and sports technology startups generates consistent specialty-occupation postings. Green Bay is a smaller but notable market given the Packers organization and its affiliated business operations.
What types of sports roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Roles that routinely meet the E-3 specialty occupation standard in Wisconsin sports include sports scientists, biomechanists, athletic trainers with a relevant bachelor's degree, performance analysts, sports psychologists, exercise physiologists, and sports business or marketing managers. The position must require at least a U.S. bachelor's degree or its equivalent in a directly related field, roles where any general degree suffices are unlikely to qualify under USCIS guidelines.
How do I find sports E-3 sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa type and state, so you can search specifically for Wisconsin sports roles where employers have verified E-3 sponsorship history. This removes the guesswork of cold-applying to organizations unfamiliar with the E-3. Pair your Migrate Mate search with direct outreach to Milwaukee and Madison sports franchises and university athletic departments, which are the most active Wisconsin sponsors for Australian applicants.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for sports E-3 sponsorship?
Wisconsin does not impose additional state-level requirements on top of federal E-3 rules, but the state's sports market skews toward franchise and university employers rather than large national sports corporations. This means many Wisconsin sponsors have less E-3 filing experience than counterparts in larger markets, so applicants should confirm the employer understands the Labor Condition Application process and the specialty occupation documentation required before accepting an offer.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sports jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
