Tips for Finding E-3 Sponsorship Jobs in Wisconsin
Target Madison's University Research Ecosystem
The University of Wisconsin-Madison and its affiliated research institutes employ specialty occupation workers across biomedical engineering, data science, and public health. University-adjacent employers and spinout companies in the Madison area regularly sponsor E-3 visas for qualified Australians.
Search Milwaukee's Financial Services Sector
Milwaukee hosts regional headquarters for finance, insurance, and asset management firms that routinely hire for analyst and compliance roles. These employers are familiar with specialty occupation visa filings and represent a reliable source of E-3 sponsorship in Wisconsin.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter by Visa Type
Migrate Mate's job board lets you filter specifically for E-3 sponsorship roles across Wisconsin industries, saving time you'd otherwise spend manually checking whether an employer has a history of filing specialty occupation petitions.
Look Beyond Milwaukee and Madison
Green Bay and Appleton have a meaningful concentration of manufacturing engineering and supply chain roles at companies like Schneider National. Mid-size Wisconsin employers in these cities can often move faster through the E-3 process than large national corporations.
Prioritize Employers With Active LCA Filings
Check the Department of Labor's OFLC disclosure data for Wisconsin employers who have recently certified Labor Condition Applications. Recent LCA filings are the clearest signal that an employer understands the E-3 process and is prepared to sponsor again.
Align Your Specialty to Wisconsin's Healthcare Demand
Wisconsin's large hospital networks, including Aurora Health Care and Froedtert Health, regularly hire for clinical informatics, healthcare IT, and allied health roles that qualify as specialty occupations. These sectors have sustained hiring demand and established HR processes for visa sponsorship.

Which industries in Wisconsin sponsor the most E-3 visas?
Healthcare, information technology, and engineering account for the largest share of E-3 visa sponsorship activity in Wisconsin. Life sciences and biotech around Madison, financial services in Milwaukee, and manufacturing engineering across the Fox Valley region also generate consistent specialty occupation filings. These sectors align well with the degree-specific requirements the E-3 demands.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Madison and Milwaukee are the two primary hubs for E-3 sponsorship in Wisconsin. Madison's concentration of university research, biotech, and state government contracts supports strong demand for specialty occupation workers. Milwaukee's finance, healthcare, and engineering employers add significant volume. Green Bay and Appleton offer secondary opportunities, particularly in manufacturing and logistics roles.
What types of roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Roles that qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Wisconsin are those requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field directly related to the job. Software engineers, biomedical researchers, financial analysts, civil and mechanical engineers, clinical informatics specialists, and registered nurses with specialty qualifications are among the most common qualifying occupations filed by Wisconsin employers.
How do I find E-3 sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter for E-3 sponsorship roles by state, so Wisconsin opportunities surface without manually screening employers. Supplement that with the DOL's OFLC disclosure database to identify which Wisconsin companies have certified LCAs recently. Direct outreach to employers in Madison's research corridor or Milwaukee's financial district can also surface roles before they're publicly listed.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
