Which fintech companies sponsor E-3 visas in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's strongest E-3 sponsorship activity in fintech comes from established financial technology and services firms. Fiserv, headquartered in Milwaukee, is one of the largest fintech employers in the state and has a documented history of sponsoring work visas. Northwestern Mutual, CUNA Mutual Group, and Johnson Financial Group have also sponsored visa holders in technology and analytical roles. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and varies by role, team, and hiring cycle.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most fintech E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee accounts for the majority of Wisconsin's fintech E-3 sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of financial services headquarters and payment technology companies. Madison, home to a growing technology sector supported by the University of Wisconsin ecosystem, is the second most active market. Green Bay and Waukesha have smaller but present fintech employer bases worth considering for candidates open to regional positions.
What types of fintech roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Roles that qualify for E-3 sponsorship must meet the specialty occupation standard, requiring at minimum a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In Wisconsin fintech, positions commonly meeting this threshold include software engineers, data scientists, financial analysts, cybersecurity specialists, and systems architects. General business or operations roles without a specific degree requirement are less likely to qualify. The connection between your degree field and the role's core duties is what USCIS evaluates.
How do I find fintech E-3 sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals on the E-3 visa and lists fintech roles in Wisconsin where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor. Filtering by state and visa type surfaces relevant opportunities without sorting through companies unlikely to support E-3 applications. Beyond the platform, targeting Wisconsin-headquartered financial technology firms directly and noting their prior visa sponsorship history in public LCA disclosure data can help prioritize your outreach.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for fintech E-3 sponsorship?
Wisconsin does not impose state-level visa requirements, but the fintech sector here is heavily oriented toward insurance technology and payment processing rather than consumer-facing startup finance common in coastal markets. Employers tend to be larger, established institutions, which can mean more structured HR processes for sponsorship but also more conservative hiring timelines. Australian professionals should confirm that a prospective employer has sponsored work visas before, as smaller Wisconsin fintechs may lack the internal infrastructure to process an E-3 application efficiently.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 fintech jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
