Which healthcare companies sponsor E-3 visas in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's largest health systems, including UW Health in Madison, Froedtert Health and Advocate Aurora Health in Milwaukee, and Marshfield Clinic Health System, have histories of sponsoring international workers for specialty roles. Academic medical centers affiliated with the University of Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin also sponsor E-3 workers, particularly for research-intensive and subspecialty clinical positions where qualified candidates are in short supply.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most healthcare E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and Madison account for the majority of healthcare E-3 sponsorship opportunities in Wisconsin. Milwaukee's concentration of large hospital networks and the Medical College of Wisconsin drives demand for specialty clinicians and researchers. Madison benefits from UW Health and the University of Wisconsin's academic medical programs. Green Bay and Appleton also have regional health systems that occasionally sponsor for hard-to-fill specialty roles.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Wisconsin?
E-3 sponsorship in Wisconsin healthcare is most common for roles that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a defined field, meaning the job itself must qualify as a specialty occupation. Registered nurses with bachelor's degrees (BSN), physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical laboratory scientists, clinical research coordinators, radiologic technologists, and health informatics specialists are among the role types that commonly meet this standard. General support roles without a degree requirement typically do not qualify.
How do I find healthcare E-3 sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for E-3 visa holders and lists healthcare jobs in Wisconsin where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. You can filter by state and industry to surface Wisconsin healthcare roles without sifting through listings from employers unfamiliar with the E-3 category. Pairing Migrate Mate with direct outreach to recruitment teams at UW Health, Froedtert, and Marshfield Clinic gives you the strongest approach for this market.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in healthcare?
Wisconsin requires state licensure for most regulated healthcare professions, and that process runs separately from and often ahead of the E-3 visa application. Australian healthcare professionals should verify whether their credentials require evaluation by a body like CGFNS (for nurses) or a state-specific board before an employer can complete the Labor Condition Application. Rural healthcare shortages across central and northern Wisconsin mean some regional health systems are more willing to navigate international sponsorship than urban competitors.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 healthcare jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
