Which technology companies sponsor E-3 visas in Wisconsin?
Fiserv, headquartered in Milwaukee, is one of Wisconsin's largest technology employers and has a history of sponsoring work visas for software and engineering roles. Epic Systems in Verona employs thousands of technology professionals and sponsors visas for qualifying positions. Other Wisconsin-based employers with technology operations, including American Family Insurance and Northwestern Mutual's tech divisions, have also filed for work visa sponsorship.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most technology E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and Madison account for the majority of technology E-3 sponsorship activity in Wisconsin. Madison's tech sector is anchored by Epic Systems and a growing cluster of software companies near the University of Wisconsin campus. Milwaukee's strength is in financial technology and IT services, with employers concentrated downtown and in surrounding suburbs like Brookfield and Waukesha.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Roles that typically qualify are those requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical field, such as software engineering, data engineering, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems analysis. Wisconsin's technology market has particular demand in healthcare IT and fintech, meaning roles like implementation consultant, data analyst, and software developer appear frequently among sponsored positions. General IT support roles without a degree requirement generally do not qualify.
How do I find technology E-3 sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by visa type, state, and industry to find technology roles in Wisconsin where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship, rather than applying broadly and discovering late that a company won't sponsor. Migrate Mate aggregates verified sponsorship-friendly listings, which saves significant time compared to manually screening job postings for Australian applicants.
Are there any state-specific considerations for technology E-3 sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin does not impose state-level visa requirements beyond federal E-3 rules, but a few practical points apply. The Wisconsin technology market is smaller than coastal hubs, so the pool of employers with active E-3 sponsorship experience is more concentrated. Companies in Madison and Milwaukee that already sponsor H-1B workers are generally more familiar with E-3 processes, making them lower-friction targets for Australian applicants pursuing sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 technology jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
