Which animal care & pet services companies sponsor E-3 visas in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers with documented E-3 visa sponsorship activity in animal care include larger veterinary group practices, university-affiliated animal hospitals such as those connected to the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine, and zoological institutions like the Milwaukee County Zoo. Specialty referral clinics and multi-location veterinary corporations operating in the state are also known to file Labor Condition Applications for qualified specialty occupation roles.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most animal care & pet services E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Madison and Milwaukee account for the largest share of animal care E-3 sponsorship activity in Wisconsin. Madison benefits from proximity to the University of Wisconsin-Madison's veterinary and animal science programs, which supports a concentration of specialty and academic veterinary employers. Milwaukee's population density and the presence of the Milwaukee County Zoo create additional demand for credentialed animal care professionals in specialty occupation roles.
What types of animal care & pet services roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that typically qualify are those classified as specialty occupations under E-3 rules, meaning a position requiring at least a U.S. bachelor's degree or equivalent in a directly related field. In animal care, this commonly includes licensed veterinarians, veterinary specialists, veterinary pathologists, animal behaviorists, and zoo curators. General pet grooming or kennel technician roles generally do not meet the specialty occupation threshold. O*NET occupation profiles can help confirm degree requirements for a specific job title.
How do I find animal care & pet services E-3 sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for E-3 sponsorship jobs and lets you filter by state, visa type, and industry. For animal care and pet services roles in Wisconsin, you can search verified employer LCA filing history directly on Migrate Mate to identify which Wisconsin employers have sponsored E-3 workers in this sector. This removes the guesswork of cold-applying to employers who may not be familiar with the E-3 process.
Are there any state-specific or industry-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in Wisconsin's animal care sector?
Wisconsin requires veterinarians to hold a valid state license issued by the Wisconsin Veterinary Examining Board before practicing, so employers sponsoring foreign-trained veterinarians typically factor in credential evaluation and licensing timelines alongside the visa process. Australian veterinary degrees are evaluated against U.S. equivalency standards, and some employers coordinate with credentialing bodies before or concurrent with filing the Labor Condition Application through OFLC.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 animal care & pet services jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
