Which fashion and apparel companies sponsor E-3 visas in Texas?
Dallas-based retailers and wholesale operations are the most active fashion employers in Texas. Neiman Marcus, which is headquartered in Dallas, has historically hired internationally for roles in buying, merchandising, and digital commerce. Larger specialty and department store groups with Texas operations also sponsor work visas for qualified candidates. Sponsorship is never guaranteed and depends on the specific role, employer hiring cycle, and whether the position meets E-3 visa specialty occupation requirements.
Which cities in Texas have the most fashion and apparel E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Dallas is by far the center of Texas fashion employment, housing corporate headquarters for major retailers and a significant wholesale apparel district. The Dallas Market Center is one of the largest wholesale trade complexes in the world, drawing fashion businesses that hire across product development, sales, and design functions. Houston has a smaller but active retail and fashion marketing presence, while Austin is emerging as a hub for fashion-adjacent roles in e-commerce and brand marketing.
What types of fashion and apparel roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In fashion and apparel, roles that commonly meet this standard include merchandise planners, buyers, product development managers, textile designers, visual merchandising directors, and e-commerce managers. General retail associate or warehouse roles typically do not qualify. Your degree field should have a direct connection to the job duties.
How do I find fashion & apparel E-3 sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers on work visas and filters fashion and apparel roles in Texas that are open to E-3 sponsorship. Rather than sorting through general job boards where sponsorship willingness is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces positions from employers with a history of visa sponsorship. Filtering by Texas and the fashion and apparel category gives you a focused list of relevant openings without the noise.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for fashion and apparel E-3 sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which is a practical consideration when evaluating job offers. On the immigration side, E-3 applications filed at the U.S. Consulate in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth are processed the same regardless of which U.S. state you're relocating to, so there are no state-level filing differences. However, Dallas-based fashion employers often operate on retail buying calendars, so hiring cycles tend to cluster around specific seasons, which can affect when roles are posted and interviews scheduled.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 fashion & apparel jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
