The O-1A applies to candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement in project leadership.

What should international candidates know about project director hiring in West Virginia?
Project director roles in West Virginia frequently sit within industries subject to prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules, meaning employers must pay the wage level set by the Department of Labor for the role and location. West Virginia's lower cost of living compared to coastal markets can affect prevailing wage benchmarks. Candidates with PMP certification or relevant engineering licensure tend to be more competitive with employers who sponsor in this state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project director jobs in West Virginia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
