Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for corporate development managers?
Large Milwaukee-based employers are the most consistent sponsors for corporate development manager roles in Wisconsin. Northwestern Mutual, Fiserv, Baird, Kohler, and Johnson Controls have each filed H-1B visa petitions for senior business and strategy positions. Madison employers including Epic Systems and Exact Sciences also hire at this level. Sponsorship activity is concentrated at established corporations with dedicated HR and legal infrastructure to manage the process.
What visa types are most common for corporate development managers in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the primary visa category for corporate development managers in Wisconsin, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, business, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with multinational employer backgrounds may also qualify for an L-1A intracompany transferee visa if moving from a parent or affiliate company. O-1 visa classification is possible for candidates with documented exceptional achievement in M&A or strategy.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most corporate development manager sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is by far the leading city for corporate development manager roles in Wisconsin, given its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and major financial services firms. Madison is the secondary hub, driven by the biotech, health IT, and university-affiliated sector. Green Bay and Waukesha see occasional openings at manufacturing and insurance companies, though sponsorship-willing employers at this level are far less common outside the Milwaukee metro area.
How to find corporate development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship willingness, making it more efficient than general searches for corporate development manager roles in Wisconsin. You can narrow results to the Milwaukee and Madison metros where sponsorship-active employers are concentrated. Because corporate development manager positions are senior and relatively scarce, setting up alerts on Migrate Mate for new postings in Wisconsin gives you an early advantage when roles are listed.
Are there state-specific considerations for corporate development managers pursuing sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin does not have state-level visa programs, so federal H-1B rules apply. For corporate development manager roles, employers must file a Labor Condition Application certifying the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the Milwaukee or Madison metropolitan area, as determined by the Department of Labor. Because this is a senior strategic role, USCIS will scrutinize whether the position genuinely requires a specialized degree, so employers typically document the role carefully during the petition process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored corporate development manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
