Which companies sponsor visas for development managers in Wisconsin?
Epic Systems in Verona, American Family Insurance in Madison, and Fiserv in Milwaukee are among the most consistent sponsors of development manager roles in Wisconsin. Larger healthcare technology and financial services firms in the state have established international hiring programs and the infrastructure to support H-1B petitions for senior technical leadership positions.
Which visa types are most common for development manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for development managers in Wisconsin. The role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may also explore the TN visa under the engineer or computer systems analyst categories, depending on the specific role.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most development manager sponsorship jobs?
Madison and Milwaukee account for the majority of development manager sponsorship activity in Wisconsin. Madison's tech sector is driven largely by Epic Systems and university-adjacent startups, while Milwaukee's concentration of financial services and manufacturing technology firms generates consistent demand. Verona, as Epic's home base, is also a notable hiring location despite its smaller size.
How to find development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship roles. You can filter by state and job title to surface development manager positions in Wisconsin where employers have a documented history of sponsoring work visas. This saves significant time compared to manually researching employer sponsorship histories across individual company career pages.
Are there state-specific considerations for development managers seeking visa sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin does not have a state-level visa sponsorship program, so sponsorship depends entirely on individual employers. Development managers in Wisconsin should be aware that prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are determined by the specific metro area, and wages in Madison and Milwaukee differ from smaller markets. Epic Systems' large footprint means it has shaped a significant portion of the local international tech hiring pipeline.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored development manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
