Which healthcare companies sponsor F-1 CPT visas in Wisconsin?
UW Health, Froedtert Health, Aurora Health Care, Ascension Wisconsin, and Children's Wisconsin are among the larger health systems in the state that have historically brought on F-1 students through CPT arrangements. Academic medical centers affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Medical College of Wisconsin are particularly active, given their research missions and established relationships with international student programs.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most healthcare F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs?
Madison and Milwaukee account for the majority of healthcare CPT opportunities in Wisconsin. Madison is home to UW Health and the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, generating strong demand for students in clinical research, public health, and health informatics. Milwaukee concentrates large hospital networks including Froedtert, Aurora, and Children's Wisconsin, with roles spanning nursing support, medical administration, and biomedical research.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for F-1 CPT sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Roles that align directly with a degree program are eligible for CPT. In Wisconsin healthcare settings, this commonly includes health informatics analyst positions, clinical research coordinator roles, public health program assistant positions, healthcare administration internships, and biomedical or clinical laboratory support roles. The position must be part of a curricular requirement at your university, and your DSO must authorize CPT before you begin working.
How do I find healthcare F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international students seeking CPT-eligible roles and lets you filter by visa type, state, and industry, making it straightforward to browse healthcare F-1 CPT jobs in Wisconsin without sifting through listings that don't apply to your situation. Beyond the platform, connecting with the international student office at UW-Madison or Marquette University can surface employer relationships that are already familiar with CPT authorization requirements in healthcare settings.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for F-1 CPT sponsorship in healthcare?
Wisconsin healthcare employers, especially those affiliated with research universities, are generally more familiar with CPT than smaller regional clinics. One important consideration is that healthcare roles involving direct patient contact may require state licensing, certifications, or background clearances that take time to obtain. Students should coordinate with their DSO and the employer well in advance, since CPT authorization must be secured before the position starts and cannot be applied retroactively.
