Agriculture H-2A Sponsorship Jobs in Wisconsin
Wisconsin's H-2A visa agriculture jobs span dairy operations, vegetable and berry farms, and orchard harvests across counties like Waukesha, Portage, and Marathon. Employers including dairy cooperatives and specialty crop growers file H-2A petitions through DOL and USCIS to bring seasonal and temporary workers for roles that U.S. workers cannot fill in sufficient numbers.

Search Agriculture Jobs in WisconsinAgriculture H-2A Sponsorship Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
Which agriculture companies sponsor H-2A visas in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin H-2A sponsors include dairy farms, vegetable operations, cranberry growers, apple orchards, and ginseng producers. Larger agricultural employers and farm labor contractors with multi-season operations tend to file H-2A petitions most consistently, as the process requires advance planning with DOL and USCIS. Reviewing OFLC disclosure data by employer name and state gives the clearest picture of active Wisconsin sponsors.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most agriculture H-2A sponsorship jobs?
H-2A job activity in Wisconsin concentrates in agricultural counties rather than major cities. Marathon County is a center for ginseng and vegetable production, while Waushara and Adams counties support large potato and vegetable operations. Cranberry production clusters around Wood and Monroe counties. Door County orchards and berry farms in the northwest also generate seasonal H-2A demand each year.
How do I find agriculture H-2A sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate lists verified H-2A agriculture jobs in Wisconsin, filtered by employer filing history so you can focus on operations that have sponsored workers before. Search by crop type, county, or season to narrow results. You can also review OFLC job order disclosures directly, which list employer names, worksites, start dates, and the number of workers each Wisconsin employer is authorized to hire.
What types of agriculture roles typically qualify for H-2A sponsorship in Wisconsin?
H-2A covers temporary or seasonal agricultural labor, so qualifying Wisconsin roles include crop planting and harvesting, dairy herd management, tractor operation, irrigation maintenance, packing shed work, and orchard pruning. The work must be tied to a defined agricultural season. Year-round dairy positions can qualify if the employer demonstrates the work is tied to seasonal production cycles and meets all DOL requirements.
Are there state-specific considerations for H-2A agriculture sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin H-2A employers must comply with state housing and transportation standards in addition to federal requirements. The state's short growing season means petition timing is especially important, as DOL requires employers to file at least 45 days before the job start date. Wisconsin's dairy sector operates under different seasonal patterns than row crops, so employers in that segment must carefully document the temporary or seasonal nature of sponsored positions.
