Which companies sponsor visas for product owners in Wisconsin?
Northwestern Mutual, American Family Insurance, and Epic Systems are among the most active sponsors for product owner roles in Wisconsin. Fiserv, based in Brookfield, also hires product owners and has a history of H-1B sponsorship. Mid-size health tech and insurtech firms in the Milwaukee and Madison areas represent additional opportunities, particularly for candidates with domain expertise in financial services or healthcare IT.
Which visa types are most common for product owner roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product owners in Wisconsin, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, business, or engineering. L-1B visas are another pathway for candidates transferring within a multinational company. Australians may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is processed separately from the H-1B cap.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most product owner sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is the primary market for product owner sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin, driven by its concentration of financial services and insurance companies. Madison follows closely, anchored by Epic Systems and a growing tech sector supported by University of Wisconsin talent. Brookfield and the broader Milwaukee metro area also generate consistent demand, particularly from Fiserv and related fintech employers.
How to find product owner visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify product owner roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by state and role to surface relevant openings at companies like Epic Systems, Northwestern Mutual, and American Family Insurance. This saves significant time compared to manually checking individual employer career pages.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for product owners seeking visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's product owner market is heavily shaped by its insurance and health IT industries, so candidates with domain knowledge in those areas tend to be more competitive. Epic Systems in Verona draws heavily from University of Wisconsin pipelines, but it also sponsors international candidates for the right qualifications. Employers here tend to prefer product owners who can demonstrate hands-on agile delivery experience, as many Wisconsin firms are mid-enterprise rather than startup-stage.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product owner jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
