Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for strategy managers?
Northwestern Mutual and American Family Insurance in Milwaukee are among the more active sponsors for senior strategy roles, given their large corporate functions. Advocate Aurora Health, Epic Systems in Verona, and Kohler Co. also hire at the strategy manager level and have established H-1B visa sponsorship histories. Manufacturers like Johnson Controls and SC Johnson round out the employer mix for corporate strategy talent.
Which visa types are most common for strategy manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy managers in Wisconsin. These roles typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in business, management, economics, or a related field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may also be eligible for TN visa status under the USMCA, which covers management consultants and certain business-related occupations.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most strategy manager visa sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is the primary hub, home to major financial services and insurance headquarters that regularly hire strategy managers. Madison is a strong second, driven by Epic Systems, the University of Wisconsin system's affiliated organizations, and a growing technology sector. Green Bay and Appleton see demand through manufacturing and healthcare employers, though sponsorship activity there is more limited than in Milwaukee or Madison.
How to find strategy manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for strategy manager roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings from employers with active sponsorship programs across Milwaukee, Madison, and other Wisconsin markets, so you can focus your applications on companies already prepared to navigate the H-1B or other work visa processes.
Are there state-specific factors that affect strategy manager sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's employer mix matters for sponsorship expectations. Large corporate headquarters, particularly in financial services and insurance in Milwaukee, are more accustomed to sponsoring H-1B petitions than smaller regional employers. The University of Wisconsin-Madison produces a pipeline of MBA and business graduates that some employers reference when setting hiring timelines. Prevailing wage requirements for strategy manager roles are determined by the Department of Labor based on the specific Wisconsin metropolitan area where the job is located.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
