Search Care Assistant Jobs in WyomingCare Assistant Jobs in Wyoming: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for care assistants in Wyoming?
Long-term care providers and hospital systems are the most active sponsors for care assistant roles in Wyoming. Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, Banner Health, and various state-operated nursing facilities have documented histories of sponsoring foreign workers for direct care positions. Smaller assisted living operators in rural areas occasionally sponsor as well, though larger healthcare systems tend to have established immigration compliance processes and sponsor more consistently.
Which visa types are most common for care assistant roles in Wyoming?
H-1B visas are generally not applicable to care assistant roles since the position does not typically meet the specialty occupation standard requiring a bachelor's degree. Most internationally recruited care assistants in Wyoming come through the EB-3 employment-based green card pathway, which covers unskilled and semi-skilled workers, or the H-2B temporary nonagricultural worker visa for seasonal or intermittent need. Some facilities also hire through J-1 exchange visitor programs.
Which cities in Wyoming have the most care assistant sponsorship jobs?
Cheyenne, as Wyoming's largest city and state capital, has the highest concentration of healthcare employers and care assistant openings. Casper is the second-largest market, with several nursing homes and home health agencies. Laramie benefits from proximity to the University of Wyoming, which generates healthcare demand. Rural areas across Fremont County and Campbell County also see consistent need due to aging populations and limited local workforce availability.
How to find care assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Wyoming?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find care assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Wyoming, since the platform filters specifically for employers willing to sponsor work visas. Search for care assistant roles filtered to Wyoming to surface facilities and agencies actively recruiting internationally. Because Wyoming's healthcare market is smaller than coastal states, checking listings regularly and setting up alerts on Migrate Mate helps you catch new openings as they appear.
Are there any state-specific considerations for care assistants seeking visa sponsorship in Wyoming?
Wyoming's workforce shortage in healthcare is more pronounced than in many states due to its low population density and large rural geography, which can make employers more motivated to sponsor international workers. Wyoming does not impose additional state-level licensing barriers beyond standard CNA certification requirements. Employers sponsoring care assistants must comply with Department of Labor prevailing wage determinations, and the EB-3 pathway involves a PERM labor market test confirming no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored care assistant jobs in Wyoming?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
