Which companies sponsor visas for nurses in Wyoming?
Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Banner Health (operating Campbell County Health in Gillette and Washakie Medical Center in Worland), and Cheyenne Regional Medical Center are among the larger employers with documented sponsorship activity for nursing roles. Critical access hospitals in rural counties also sponsor international nurses, particularly for hard-to-fill positions in medical-surgical and emergency departments.
Which visa types are most common for nursing roles in Wyoming?
The EB-3 immigrant visa is the most common pathway for internationally educated nurses entering permanent positions in Wyoming, typically paired with NCLEX passage and credential evaluation through a recognized body like CGFNS. The H-1B is less common for nursing because most staff RN roles do not meet the specialty occupation standard, though advanced practice roles such as nurse practitioners may qualify.
Which cities in Wyoming have the most nursing sponsorship jobs?
Casper and Cheyenne account for the largest share of nursing sponsorship opportunities given they host Wyoming's two largest hospital systems. Gillette, Rock Springs, and Laramie also have active hiring due to regional medical centers serving large surrounding areas. Rural facilities across the state frequently post sponsorship-eligible roles because local candidate pipelines are limited.
How to find nursing visa sponsorship jobs in Wyoming?
Migrate Mate filters nursing roles specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you can browse Wyoming positions without sifting through jobs that won't support international candidates. Search for RN, LPN, and advanced practice titles within Wyoming on Migrate Mate to surface active openings at hospital systems and critical access facilities that have a history of sponsoring foreign-educated nurses.
Are there state-specific considerations for internationally educated nurses pursuing sponsorship in Wyoming?
Wyoming is a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) member state, meaning nurses who hold a multistate license from another compact state can practice in Wyoming without obtaining a separate state license. International nurses applying for initial licensure must pass the NCLEX and meet Wyoming State Board of Nursing requirements for credential verification before an employer can complete the sponsorship process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored nursing jobs in Wyoming?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
