How to Get Visa Sponsorship as a Brand Manager
Target consumer goods companies with global brands
Companies like P&G, Unilever, and Coca-Cola regularly sponsor brand managers because they need specialized marketing expertise for international market expansion and product launches.
Highlight quantifiable campaign results in your application
Document specific metrics like conversion rates, brand awareness increases, or revenue growth from campaigns you've managed to demonstrate the specialized nature of your work.
Consider agency-side brand management roles
Marketing agencies often sponsor brand managers because they serve multiple clients and need diverse expertise. Agencies like WPP and Omnicom frequently file H-1B petitions.
Emphasize digital marketing specializations
Brand managers with expertise in programmatic advertising, social media strategy, or e-commerce platforms are more attractive to sponsors due to specialized technical requirements.
Target companies launching new product lines
Businesses expanding their product portfolios often need specialized brand management expertise and are more willing to invest in visa sponsorship for the right candidate.
Leverage experience with specific marketing platforms
Proficiency in enterprise tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager, or SAP Hybris can strengthen your specialty occupation case for sponsorship.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Do brand managers qualify for H-1B visa sponsorship?
Yes, brand manager positions typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship because they require specialized knowledge in marketing strategy, consumer behavior analysis, and brand development. The role usually requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation requirements.
What degree do I need for H-1B sponsorship as a brand manager?
A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, advertising, or psychology typically qualifies. The degree field should relate to brand management responsibilities like market research, consumer psychology, or strategic planning. Some employers may accept related fields with relevant coursework in marketing principles.
Which companies are most likely to sponsor brand managers?
Large consumer goods companies like P&G, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, and Coca-Cola frequently sponsor brand managers. Tech companies expanding their product lines, pharmaceutical companies launching new drugs, and marketing agencies serving major clients also regularly file H-1B petitions for brand management roles.
Can I get E-3 sponsorship as an Australian brand manager?
Yes, brand manager positions qualify for E-3 sponsorship if you're Australian and the role requires a bachelor's degree. The employer must file a Labor Condition Application and demonstrate that the position requires specialized marketing knowledge. E-3 has no annual cap, making it easier than H-1B.
What happens if my brand manager H-1B is denied?
If denied, you can file an appeal or have your employer refile with additional evidence showing the role requires specialized knowledge. Consider alternative visas like L-1 if you work for a multinational company, or TN if you're Canadian or Mexican. Some brand managers also qualify for O-1 with extraordinary ability in marketing.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Brand Manager jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
