Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Charge RN Jobs
Get your NCLEX-RN passed before applying
U.S. employers won't initiate sponsorship without an active RN license. NCLEX-RN passage is a prerequisite, not something you can work toward after hire. Have your license in hand before submitting applications.
Target hospital systems with established sponsorship pipelines
Large hospital networks and health systems sponsor international nurses far more consistently than small clinics or physician practices. They have immigration counsel on retainer and predictable H-1B or EB-3 filing cycles already in place.
Credential your foreign nursing degree early
International nursing graduates must have their credentials evaluated by a body such as CGFNS before state licensing boards will issue an RN license. This process takes months, so start credential evaluation well before you begin your job search.
Highlight charge-level leadership experience in your application
Charge RN roles carry supervisory and care-coordination responsibilities beyond staff nursing. Employers sponsoring for this title specifically need that experience documented. Emphasize unit oversight, scheduling, and charge duties in your resume and interviews.
Browse Migrate Mate for employers actively filing for nurses
Migrate Mate surfaces jobs from employers with a verified history of visa sponsorship for nursing roles. Filtering by sponsorship-verified postings saves significant time and helps you focus outreach on employers already willing to sponsor.

Find Charge RN JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Do Charge RN positions qualify for H-1B visa sponsorship?
Yes, Charge RN roles generally qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B criteria because they require at least a bachelor's degree in nursing. However, many employers prefer sponsoring nurses through EB-3 Schedule A, which offers a direct green card path without the H-1B lottery and is specifically designed for registered nurses.
What is EB-3 Schedule A and why does it matter for Charge RNs?
Schedule A is a U.S. Department of Labor pre-certification for occupations facing domestic worker shortages, and registered nurses are explicitly listed. This means your employer skips the PERM labor market test entirely, reducing the green card timeline significantly. Most internationally recruited nurses pursue permanent residence through this pathway rather than through H-1B.
Do I need a four-year BSN degree, or is an associate degree enough?
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS requires a U.S. bachelor's degree or its equivalent, so a two-year associate degree alone may not satisfy the specialty occupation standard. However, EB-3 Schedule A green card sponsorship does not impose the same four-year degree requirement. Many employers strongly prefer or require a BSN for Charge RN titles regardless of visa type.
How long does sponsorship take for a Charge RN role?
H-1B timelines depend on the lottery, which runs once per year with results in spring for an October 1 start date. EB-3 Schedule A green card cases avoid PERM but still require I-140 petition approval and visa number availability, which varies by your birth country. Indian and Chinese nationals face multi-year backlogs; nationals from most other countries have far shorter waits.
Where can I find Charge RN jobs with confirmed visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lists nursing roles from employers with a documented history of sponsoring international candidates. Searching specifically for Charge RN postings on Migrate Mate helps you identify hospital systems and health networks actively filing H-1B or EB-3 petitions, rather than employers who list sponsorship as possible but rarely follow through.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Charge RN jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
