Description
Position Purpose
The Account Executive promotes the Building Automation/Temperature Controls business unit, generating leads and turning those leads into sales success for existing buildings. This individual will estimate, quote, negotiate and sell Building Automation upgrades, retrofits, and our Impact-Driven Service Agreements in a timely, profitable, and responsive manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties or tasks assigned as required. - Under supervision, manage and grow assigned territory or group of accounts consisting of building owners, end-users, and property managers.
- Achieve booking and gross margin goals. General annual booking volume guidelines are: $500k-$1M.
- Develop and implement plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities for assigned customers or territory.
- Effectively perform needs assessments and develop sales proposals, estimates, specifications and presentations.
- Work with operations, finance, legal, and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain the sale.
- Follow through on sold work to ensure satisfactory completion. Ensure smooth sales-to-operations turnover and monitor progress.
- Assist in resolving customer satisfaction issues and collections as needed.
- Analyze and suggest upgrades and/or repairs based on performance metrics of the FDD software.
- Assist customers and potential customers with problems involving the use of company products and services and recommend suitable resolutions accordingly.
- Utilize Sales software for sales activity reports, forecast reports, and expense tracking.
- Participate in civic and professional organizations, and sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars. Continue to pursue in-depth product and service knowledge and acquire deeper selling, technical and financial skills.
- Keep current on market business and product trends.
- Adhere to all LONG safety standards
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in sales-related role(s).
- Moderate related technical and financial expertise.
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.
- Understanding of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures
- Skilled in reading and interpreting mechanical plans and specifications.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service and computer proficiency.
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, including senior management.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Highly accountable and willing to take ownership of responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering, business or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Credentials, including LEED GA/AP, CEM, FE, or PE
- ASHRAE association

- This position may involve sitting for extended periods, lifting, bending, and kneeling.
