There is no state-issued license specific to account operations managers in California. Candidates who advance fastest typically build proficiency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM, gain exposure to revenue operations workflows, and move into the manager title from senior coordinator or account analyst positions at California-based technology, financial services, or healthcare organizations.
How much do account operations managers make in California?
Account operations managers in California earn a median of about $77,590 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $50,870 for the lowest 10% to over $121,650 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire account operations managers in California?
Employers hiring account operations managers in California right now include FedEx Freight, Propark Mobility, and Meta, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. California's dense concentration of enterprise technology companies, financial institutions, and large healthcare systems means demand for this role is consistent and distributed across multiple industries rather than tied to a single sector.
Which California cities have the most account operations manager jobs?
San Jose, Los Angeles, and California have the most account operations manager openings in California. The distribution follows California's major commercial centers, with San Francisco and the broader Bay Area driven by enterprise SaaS and fintech employers, Los Angeles anchored by media, healthcare, and professional services firms, and San Diego supported by its life sciences and defense technology sectors.
