Join our team as a Rare Disease Key Account Manager and play a key role in driving growth across your territory. In this role, you'll be partnered with physicians and healthcare professionals, delivering impactful presentations and educating customers on the features, benefits, and value our solutions bring to their patients and practices.
The successful Rare Disease Key Account Manager will:
- Drive Territory Growth & Access – Meet all territory objectives and call plan metrics while executing product access/distribution plans to ensure reliable availability and market penetration.
- Build Strategic Account Plans – Develop targeted accounts with in-depth business plans reflecting local, regional, and national market forces to gain healthcare professional access and education opportunities.
- Educate & Influence – Provide disease state education to healthcare professionals and staff, becoming an expert in assigned products, rare disease conditions, and competitive market dynamics.
- Manage Territory Intelligence – Analyze business data, maintain proactive awareness of local dynamics, and develop actionable territory plans supported by strong administrative and analytics performance.
- Maintain high standards through compliant business practices, sound judgment, responsible resource management, and adherence to all company policies.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years successfully managing highly specialized pharmaceutical products in complex and challenging rare disease market(s). Key accounts experience preferred.
- Documented track record of consistently high national rankings, achieving goals, and executive level awards
- Significant rare disease knowledge, experience & relationships
- Experience with Specialty Pharmacy, HUB Services and/or other complex product distribution models.
- Ability to travel as required between various locations in the US (as high as 70-80% travel).
- Self-Starter – Ability to perform with limited oversight and direction

- Proven ability to meet/exceed territory objectives with limited resources
- Approaches business, inquiries and results with urgency. Takes a consistently proactive approach to their business
- Strong technical acumen working with various systems, tools, and MS suite
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $190,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency in the role. In addition, this role will include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and/or individual performance as well as Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Company paid Life Insurance, Short-term Disability and Long-term Disability, 401(k) plan with a generous employer match, Unlimited PTO and Paid Holidays.
