Accounting Manager Jobs in Nevada: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a accounting manager in Nevada?
Most accounting manager roles in Nevada require a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance plus a CPA license issued or recognized by the Nevada State Board of Accountancy. The Nevada CPA license requires passing all four sections of the Uniform CPA Exam and meeting the Board's education and experience requirements. Candidates without a CPA often advance by combining relevant experience with a CMA credential, but the CPA remains the strongest qualifier for senior roles in Nevada.
Which companies hire accounting managers in Nevada?
Companies currently hiring accounting managers in Nevada include IGT, Imperial Brady, and CCMC, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Nevada's gaming, hospitality, and technology sectors generate consistent accounting manager demand, with large resort operators and data center companies among the most active employers in the state.
Which Nevada cities have the most accounting manager jobs?
Las Vegas, Reno, and Nevada lead Nevada for accounting manager openings. Las Vegas dominates due to the concentration of major gaming and hospitality corporations headquartered or operationally based there, while Reno's growing tech and logistics presence and Henderson's expanding corporate services sector account for a meaningful share of the remaining postings.
Are there remote accounting manager jobs in Nevada?
Yes, and they're more common than in many roles since accounting manager work is largely desk-based and systems-driven. About 25% of accounting manager openings tied to Nevada are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the broader shift in corporate finance. Financial reporting, consolidations, and FP&A oversight tend to be the functions most often offered on a remote or hybrid basis.
How can I get hired as a accounting manager in Nevada with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is moving up from a senior accountant or accounting supervisor role within a Nevada employer rather than applying to manager postings directly. Large gaming and hospitality companies like MGM Resorts and Caesars frequently promote from within their property accounting and corporate finance teams. Building toward a CPA license through the Nevada State Board of Accountancy signals readiness for a management role, and lateral experience in cost accounting or internal audit at a Nevada casino, hospital, or utility adds the operational context Nevada employers look for.
Where can I find and apply to accounting manager jobs in Nevada?
You can find and apply to accounting manager jobs in Nevada on Migrate Mate, which lists current Nevada openings across industries and locations. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
