Cardiac Surgery Advanced Practice Provider – Nights/Weekends
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center – Lebanon, NH
Dartmouth Health is pleased to announce an opening for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider in the Section of Cardiac Surgery. The successful candidate will provide and coordinate care for patients on the floor and ICU for night and weekend coverage.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Work rotating night shifts in the ICU/Floor covering the cardiac surgery inpatient service, fielding patient phone calls, and evaluating new consults
- Cover 1-2 weekends per month as part of regular hours
- Work independently and have strong communication skills to address issues with the intensivist or surgeon when issues arise
- Be comfortable managing all aspects of cardiac surgery patient care including but not limited to ventilator management, vasoactive drips, chest tubes placement and removal, pacing wire removal, intra-aortic balloon pump removal, etc.

Requirements
- BLS certification
- Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a PA or APRN in NH
- Successful completion of an approved PA/APRN program
- For candidates seeking to work in the OR: National specialty certification as RNFA or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Minimum of two years’ Cardiac Surgery experience
