Tips for Your Advertising Analyst Job Search
Tailor your resume to platform metrics
Advertising analysts are expected to name specific platforms they've measured in, not just list tools generically. Call out Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, or programmatic DSPs by name and describe the campaign types you analyzed, not just the outputs.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists advertising analyst openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Quantify attribution work on your resume
Hiring managers want to know whether you have experience with last-touch, multi-touch, or media mix modeling. State the attribution model you worked within and what decisions your analysis influenced, even if the outcomes were incremental.
Target job titles beyond the obvious label
Many advertising analyst roles are posted under titles like media analyst, paid search analyst, or campaign performance analyst. Searching only the exact title will miss a large share of relevant openings, so vary your search terms when scanning listings.
Prepare a case study for your interview
Most advertising analyst interviews include a scenario or take-home where you diagnose a campaign that underperformed. Practice walking through your diagnostic process out loud, including how you'd isolate creative fatigue from targeting issues or budget pacing problems.
Negotiate scope before you negotiate salary
Before accepting an offer, clarify which platforms and channels you'll own, whether you'll be building reports or consuming them, and how closely you'll work with media buyers. Scope determines growth trajectory more than title does at the analyst level.
Advertising Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most advertising analysts?
The companies hiring the most advertising analysts right now include Kestra Financial, Decoded Advertising, LLC D/B/A .Monks, and Comcast, with the largest share of openings in Georgia, Texas, and North Carolina, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Demand is concentrated at large media agencies, retail brands with in-house media teams, and performance-focused tech companies.
How many advertising analyst jobs are remote?
About 36% of advertising analyst openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the data-centric nature of the role, which rarely requires on-site presence. Sub-areas like paid search analysis and programmatic reporting tend to have the highest share of fully remote postings, while roles tied to creative testing or direct agency client work are more likely to be hybrid.
How do you become an advertising analyst?
Start by building fluency in at least one major ad platform, either through a free account, a certification program like Google Ads or Meta Blueprint, or coursework. Pair that with data skills, specifically pivot tables, SQL basics, or a visualization tool. Build a portfolio with at least one real or simulated campaign analysis showing how you diagnosed performance and recommended a change. Apply to entry-level analyst or media coordinator roles that offer exposure to campaign data.
Can you get hired as an advertising analyst with little experience?
Yes, entry-level advertising analyst roles exist and employers hiring for them prioritize demonstrated analytical thinking over years on the job. Running a small paid campaign on your own, completing a platform certification, or producing a sample analysis of a public dataset all substitute for formal work history. Agencies tend to be more open to junior candidates than in-house brand teams, and smaller companies often hire analysts earlier in their careers than large enterprise advertisers.
What does the advertising analyst interview process look like?
Most advertising analyst interviews follow three to four stages. An initial recruiter screen covers your background and platform experience. A hiring manager interview goes deeper on analytical approach, campaign types you've worked with, and how you communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders. Many companies include a take-home or live case where you diagnose a fictional campaign dataset. Final rounds often involve a cross-functional interview with a media buyer, marketing manager, or data team member.
Where can I find and apply to advertising analyst jobs?
You can find and apply to advertising analyst jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the United States. The listings cover a range of experience levels and specializations, from paid search and programmatic to brand measurement and attribution. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to each listing from the page.
