About the Role
Paramount Logistics is a growing logistics and supply chain company specializing in freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment.
We are seeking an organized, proactive Assistant Operations Manager to support our warehousing and logistics services, manage third-party logistics partners, and coordinate customer accounts.
We operate through a network of 3PL partners and also operate our own Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ). This position is primarily office-based, focusing on partner coordination, customer communication, service performance, and issue resolution. The is an on-site role based in our West Covina, CA office, with occasional travel to our Lynwood warehouse as business needs require.
Experience in warehouse operations, along with knowledge of and experience working with Foreign-Trade Zones (FTZ), is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics services across third-party warehouse and transportation partners.
- Serve as a central contact between customers, service providers, and internal teams.
- Communicate customer requirements, shipment forecasts, priorities, and service expectations to partners.
- Monitor warehouse partners’ receiving, fulfillment, shipping, and inventory reporting against agreed service levels.
- Coordinate resolution of shipment delays, inventory discrepancies, damages, order errors, and customer complaints.
- Review operational reports, track partner performance, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Support onboarding of customers and service providers, including operating procedures, reporting requirements, and escalation processes.
- Review partner invoices, verify charges against agreed rates, and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Prepare customer updates, operational summaries, and performance reports.
- Support the administration of Paramount’s FTZ operations, working closely with our FTZ consultant, warehouse personnel, customs brokers, and customers.
- Coordinate FTZ documentation, admissions, withdrawals, inventory reporting, and related follow-up with the responsible parties.
- Help maintain organized FTZ records and established procedures, escalating discrepancies and compliance questions to management and the FTZ consultant.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in logistics, 3PL, 4PL, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
- Experience coordinating service providers and supporting customer accounts.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts, partners, and priorities.
- Experience in Foreign Trade Zone operations, customs compliance,
- import/export, international logistics, or warehouse inventory control preferred.
- Familiarity with U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and procedures
- Knowledge of inventory control, receiving and shipping documentation, customs
- entries, and international transportation processes.
- Ability to reconcile inventory records, identify discrepancies, and maintain
- accurate documentation.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource
- planning (ERP) systems, or inventory management software preferred.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with external consultants, customs brokers,
- carriers, warehouse personnel, and management.
- Ability to handle confidential business and personnel information appropriately.
- Willingness to travel between the West Covina office and the Lynwood
- warehouse as needed.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
